One of my favorite things about summer break is spending time with our kids. One of my least favorite things is finding ways to occupy them when I need to accomplish something. Fortunately, they are still young enough to be easily entertained and amused. So last week, they packed up their backpacks with everything they might need for an outdoor adventure. I packed them a lunch and handed them a picnic blanket.
And that was pretty much that.
