And celebrate we have! On Saturday, we had a family party for Henry. There was a train cake, lots of perfect-for-Henry gifts and most of his very favorite people.
The Thomas train frenzy is in full swing, although on the day of the party I think Jason and Uncle Justin spent more time with the train set than Henry did.
| The train! We already had most of this set, but Henry got some extra cars and lots more track for his birthday. |
| The cake.... |
| Tasting the frosting after he blew out the candles (with some help from sisters!)..... |
A cool golf set from Uncle Justin and Aunt Kacy. This was the first gift he opened, and it took some doing to get him to open anything else after that!
On Monday, Henry's actual birthday, we had a low-key day filled with some of Henry's favorites. |
| There was a Ranger ride with Daddy that got a THUMBS UP! |
| More candles! He blew these two out all by himself! Oh, and that Birthday Boy shirt is the one he wore last wear for his 1st birthday. Imagine my delight that it still fit! |
| And even though it fit, it didn't stay white for long! |
| Then there was a little present...... |
| .........that was a big hit! |
So far two is awesome! You're old enough to eat peanut butter, you can talk enough to tell people what you think and people give you tractors, trains and cake. It's a sweet, sweet gig.
